Benmore was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. The children all did themselves proud, challenging themselves with activities they had never done before, overcoming fears both physical and emotional. For some it may have been the first time away from home for a week, for some they may never have made a bed and for other’s they managed to push themselves to do things up high, in water, in the dark or on their own. What was wonderful to see was not only their individual will power and resilience but also their team work, cooperation and ability to encourage each other. They were truly a wonderful group to take away. Huge thank you and well done to the children and to Mr Digan, Miss Welsh, Mrs McMahon and Miss Frater who were there to support them and cheer them on every step of the way!
