The Parent Council is supporting the School in seeking the views of all parents/carers regarding homework that is provided for all Year groups.
We held a discussion forum for parents/carers to offer some views around homework as a starting point for this survey. You can read a short summary of the points raised here:
Neither the Parent Council nor the School has any pre-conceived answers around how homework is used at Craiglockhart.
The outputs from this survey will remain anonymised and communicated to parents/carers via the Parent Council.
The survey can be accessed here:

The Parent Council is the representative group for all parents and carers with children at the school. It provides a way of expressing parents views to the school and the City Council and provides a sounding board for school staff.
The objectives of the Parent Council are:
– To promote partnership and open communication between the school, its pupils and all its parents and carers
– To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils
– To identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils
– To raise funds to benefit the School and pupils in a forum that works in harmony with the school and the wider community.
Minutes from past meetings can be viewed here. You can contribute views, ideas and suggestions to the Parent Council at any time during the year. To do so please e-mail the secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us at email@example.com
